Specialist SEND Tutor – Preparing for Adulthood (PfA)

New Chapter Tuition is seeking experienced Specialist SEND Tutors to deliver personalised Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) tuition to young people aged 10–25 across Lewisham.

You will support young people with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and SEMH, helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for adulthood.

Areas of support can include:

• Independent living skills, budgeting, cooking and travel training.

• Functional Skills/ GCSE  English and Maths 

• Employability, careers exploration and preparation for further education.

• Social communication, emotional regulation and self-advocacy.

• Community access, confidence building and personal development.

We're looking for individuals with:

• Experience supporting young people with SEND.

• Knowledge of Preparing for Adulthood, life skills or transition planning.

• A patient, adaptable and person-centred approach.

• Confidence delivering practical, individualised learning.

QTS is not essential. We welcome experienced SEND Tutors, Mentors, HLTAs and specialist education practitioners.

What we offer:

• £25–£35 per hour PAYE, depending on experience.

• Paid planning and preparation time – 1 additional paid hour for every 5 hours of tuition.
