Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding permanent opportunity within a specialist education setting?
We are currently recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join an established multidisciplinary clinical team supporting pupils across specialist education settings.
The role will be predominantly based at Site with occasional support required across the wider sites.
The Role You will work closely with education teams to provide bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with a range of communication needs. Pupils may be neurodivergent, have SEMH needs or have experienced developmental trauma.
You will:
- Manage your own Speech and Language Therapy caseload with clinical supervision and support.
- Complete assessments and develop individualised intervention plans.
- Deliver creative and personalised therapy approaches.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other clinical professionals.
- Provide advice, consultation and training to education staff where appropriate.
- Support pupils to develop communication skills, independence and confidence.
- Contribute to a strong safeguarding and person-centred culture.
- Work as part of a wider multidisciplinary clinical network.
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration and registration with the RCSLT.
- Experience working with individuals with complex or diverse communication needs.
- Knowledge or experience of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention approaches.
- A creative, resilient and enthusiastic approach.
- A full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
