Job Title: Scottish Power Energy Network Authorised Wireman
Location: Moffat, DG10
Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Duration: 8 weeks, possible further works.
Overview
Active (Pathways) Solutions are seeking a skilled and motivated SPEN Wireman to join our team. You’ll be supporting a Substation project in Moffat, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-voltage electrical works. SPEN COMP & APSD.
This role is suited to experienced candidates with proven substation experience and the required SPEN certification.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Valid and up-to-date documentation, including Scottish Power with live working, Competence Card, CSCS/Safety Passport, and JIB
- Proven substation experience – previous work on National Grid or DNO sites is essential
- Verifiable references demonstrating experience and competency within the substation or high-voltage industry
We’re Looking for Individuals Who:
- Show excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision, quality, and safety at all times
- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with multi-discipline site crews
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills, adapting confidently to changing site conditions
Desirable Additional Qualifications
- IPAF (MEWP)
- Telehandler (CPCS or NPORS)
- PASMA
- First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Abrasive Wheels
- Other relevant industry-related courses
