Spider Boom Operator

Search Consultancy have fantastic opportunities for Spider Boom Operators to work with some of our valued clients in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. These are temporary roles, however we have ongoing work for interested candidates and can offer great benefits such as various payment types and a referral scheme.

Duties:

• Operate the spider boom/access platform safely and efficiently.

• Carry out pre-use inspections and basic safety checks before operating.

• Set up the machine on different surfaces and ensure it is stable and level.

• Position the boom and work platform accurately to provide access to elevated work areas.

• Follow site RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and company procedures.

• Work within the machine's safe working load, reach and height limits.

• Use outriggers/stabilisers correctly where required.

• Check the work area for overhead hazards, power lines, obstacles, uneven ground and other risks.

• Communicate with ground workers, banksmen/signallers and other site personnel.

Requirements:

• IPAF 1B Ticket
• Full PPE

Payment:

• Various payment methods - CIS, UMBRELLA, PAYE
• Weekly payment
• £19-£22
