Sports Coach / Behaviour Mentor - Liverpool

Are you a passionate Sports Coach looking to make a real difference beyond the pitch?

We are recruiting for a specialist boys' Secondary Schoolin Liverpool, supporting young people who thrive with positive role models, structure and consistency. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, mentoring or youth work who are looking to use their skills in an educational setting.

No two days are the same. You'll work alongside experienced staff to support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and positive relationships through engagement, encouragement and consistency.

The Role:

• Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Building positive, professional relationships with young people.
• Delivering engaging sports, fitness or physical activity sessions where appropriate.
• Assisting teachers with classroom learning and behaviour management.
• Encouraging attendance, participation and personal development.
• Acting as a positive role model and helping students achieve their full potential.

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Experience as a Sports Coach, PE Coach, Personal Trainer, Youth Worker, Behaviour Mentor or similar.
• Confidence working with teenagers who may display challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Resilience, patience and a calm, consistent approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.

Desirable:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Relevant coaching qualifications or experience.
• Team Teach training (or willingness to complete training).
