The Vacancy

Hours - 4 per week 

About the Role 

This role involves planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality netball coaching sessions and activities to develop players' technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills. You will work with athletes to identify areas for development and implement appropriate strategies to enable them to achieve their full potential. Acting as a positive role model, inspiring confidence, self-belief, and upholding high standards of conduct and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering effective, safe, inclusive, and fun netball coaching sessions to individuals and teams of all abilities.
  • Assessing and monitoring player performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support individual and team development.
  • Preparing players for competitions and match days, including umpiring fixtures as required.
  • Ensuring students train and compete to a high level of health and safety at all times.
  • Advising players on maintaining a positive mental attitude, discipline, and using sport for personal and social development.
  • Maintaining accurate records of session plans, player attendance, and progress.

Requirements

  • Minimum UKCC Level 1 Netball Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Successful experience in coaching netball to a range of abilities.
  • Experience of working with young people/students in a sports environment.
  • Experience of playing netball to a high standard
  • Knowledge of how to manage resources towards agreed outcomes.
