Sports Coach

- Role: Activity Leader / Sports Coach
  - Location: Waterwells Primary Academy, 2 Boulmer Ave, Quedgeley, Gloucester GL2 2FX
  - Hours: Part-time
  - Pay Rate: £12-£13 per hour

  - Hours per week - 13-14 hours
  - Key Responsibilities: Delivering high-quality sports and physical activity sessions
  - Requirements: Ideally a DBS check, sports coaching qualifications, and a driving licence

Are you a passionate Sports Coach or PE Coach who enjoys working with children? Do you want to make a real impact in primary schools through engaging, fun, and structured physical activity?

At Progressive, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Primary School Sports Coach to deliver high-quality PE lessons, lunchtime activities, and wraparound care sessions across our partner schools.

Your Role as a Sports Coach

• Deliver engaging PE lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Lead fun and inclusive multi-sports sessions and physical activities
• Support and deliver before and after school clubs (wraparound care)
• Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for all children
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school expectations
• Work collaboratively with school staff and colleagues

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working as a Sports Coach, PE Coach, Activity Coach, or similar
• Passion for working with children in a school setting
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Relevant coaching qualification (Level 1 or Level 2 desirable)
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence preferred
