We are currently looking for experienced Carbon Fibre Preppers and Sprayer Preppers to join a high-end automotive composites operation based in Northamptonshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality carbon fibre components for the automotive industry, working to demanding cosmetic and dimensional standards.
The Role
You will be responsible for preparing high-end carbon fibre automotive components for finishing and paint, ensuring all parts meet the required quality standards.
Depending on your experience, duties may include:
Preparing carbon fibre components for paint and finishing
Sanding, flatting and filling composite components
Removing imperfections and achieving high-quality cosmetic finishes
Preparing parts for primer and paint
Masking and preparing components for spraying
Inspecting finished/prepared components for quality
Working from drawings and job specifications
Maintaining a clean and professional working environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
Carbon fibre / composite components
Automotive bodywork or motorsport
Prep work and refinishing
Spray preparation
High-end or low-volume automotive manufacturing
Experience working with pre-preg carbon fibre or other advanced composite materials would be advantageous.
Attention to detail is essential, as the components you will be working on are manufactured to high-end automotive standards.
