SSE Civils Foreman - CAT 3

Location: Inchbroom, Nigg, Aberdeen, AB12 3LN
Rate: £26 per hour - PAYE only
Duration: 14/09/26 - 11/12/26 (89 days)

A leading power & utilities contractor is seeking an experienced SSE Civils Foreman - CAT 3 to support ongoing works on a major 132kV cabling project in the Nigg area.

This role involves supervising a working party within an exposed live HV substation open busbar compound, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures and requirements.

• Supervise a working party within an exposed live HV substation open busbar compound.
• Oversee civils activities and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily activities with site management, engineers, and other project personnel.
• Ensure all works comply with site safety rules, procedures, and requirements.
• Maintain safe, organised, and compliant working areas.
• Monitor the working party and ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times.
• Support the delivery of 132kV cabling works and adapt to changing site requirements.
• Carry out duties as directed to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

• SSE CAT 3a - Supervise a Working Party in an Exposed Live HV S/S Open Busbar Compound
• Proven experience working as a Civils Foreman / Supervisor within the utilities, power, or substation sector.
• Experience supervising teams and working parties in live HV environments.
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work and site safety procedures.
• Ability to coordinate and manage daily site activities effectively.
