We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Stainless Steel TIG Welders/Fabricators to join our clients busy manufacturing team based in Huddersfield on a 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality stainless steel fabrication projects within a well-established engineering environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for fabricating and welding stainless steel components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and ensuring all work meets quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
TIG welding stainless steel components to a high standard.
Fabricating bespoke stainless steel products from engineering drawings.
Working with thin gauge and heavy gauge stainless steel materials.
Carrying out welding using processes 141, 142, 143 and 145.
Reading and interpreting technical and fabrication drawings.
Measuring, marking out, cutting, fitting and assembling fabricated components.
Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
Working both independently and as part of the fabrication team.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Stainless Steel TIG Welder/Fabricator.
Competent in TIG welding processes 141, 142, 143 and 145.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
Experience fabricating stainless steel to a high standard.
Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to work accurately and meet production deadlines.
A positive attitude with good communication skills.
Desirable:
Current welding qualifications or coding certificates.
Experience working within food, pharmaceutical or process industries.
Overhead crane or FLT experience (advantageous but not essential).
