We are looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to become the trusted local face of a growing global infrastructure organisation in Zaragoza. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting major development projects, engaging with local communities, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that community voices are heard as the region undergoes significant growth.

About the Role

As the on-the-ground community engagement lead, you'll work closely with local stakeholders, contractors, community organisations, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered responsibly, transparently, and with the community at the centre.

You'll help build trust, identify emerging issues before they escalate, coordinate community initiatives, and provide valuable insights that inform decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Act as the primary liaison between local communities, project teams, and construction partners.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with neighbours, municipalities, community organisations, and local stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage community feedback, concerns, and enquiries, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Visit project sites and funded community initiatives to assess progress and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate and deliver local community events and engagement activities.
  • Track project impacts, risks, issues, and community sentiment across the region.
  • Prepare concise reports and updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Support community investment programmes and measure their impact.
  • Monitor local media and social channels to identify emerging trends and stakeholder concerns.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in Community Affairs, External Affairs, Stakeholder Engagement, Public Affairs, or Community Relations.
  • Background working within large infrastructure, construction, energy, utilities, real estate, or development projects.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling sensitive stakeholder issues and navigating complex local dynamics.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Strong reporting, organisation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Based in or willing to work primarily from Zaragoza.
Why Join?
  • Opportunity to make a visible impact in a rapidly growing region.
  • Work on high-profile projects that directly benefit local communities.
  • Join a globally recognised organisation with an ambitious growth agenda.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and influence meaningful community outcomes.
  • Competitive package and long-term career development opportunities.

If you enjoy working at the intersection of people, projects, and community impact, we'd love to hear from you.
