Stakeholder Liaison Officer
2 Year Fixed Term Contract | Southhampton
We're recruiting a Stakeholder Liaison Officer to support a major infrastructure contractor delivering specialist structural works across the National Highways network. You'll be the central point of coordination for customer and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the project team to ensure clear, timely communication on programme developments and changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue monthly/fortnightly stakeholder updates as projects progress and hit key milestones
- Prepare responses to customer and stakeholder complaints and enquiries
- Draft communications for National Highways webpage updates and social media (working with comms teams)
- Support narrative for parliamentary/MP briefings
- Attend site for media interviews (radio, TV filming)
- Organise and actively participate in Public Information Events
- Attend fortnightly customer/network occupancy meetings to give project updates
- Liaise with local councils and key stakeholders (Hampshire-based experience is advantageous)
About You
You have strong stakeholder engagement experience and are comfortable representing organisations in a customer-facing role. Public sector or infrastructure experience is valuable; familiarity with the local highway network and key stakeholders is a plus. You're organized, clear communicator, and able to handle media and public-facing work confidently.
