Stakeholder & Public Liaison Officer required for a 12-month contract in the Guisborough and wider Tees Valley area. This is with a construction business to assist them in delivering part of a much larger infrastructure project, and so it is possible that this could lead to a more substantive role in the future.
The Role
The successful applicant will serve as the primary point of contact for members of the public and key stakeholders affected by ongoing construction activities, providing a high standard of customer service and ensuring all communications are managed clearly and efficiently. The postholder will work collaboratively with several internal teams and the Site Team to maintain consistent and coordinated public messaging. They will also oversee the operation of any on site visitor centres (where applicable) during designated opening hours, when required.
Duties will include managing the email in box for the project, responding appropriately to each email and ensuring that complaints or incidents are recorded accurately. Making visits to any members of the public or businesses that may be directly impacted by the ongoing construction project will be part of this role along with organising any visitor events to the centre – schools, universities etc. Furthermore, this person will attend regular progress meetings and share any relevant information regarding stakeholder engagement and create reports for the site team, communications team and head office.
The Person
A full UK driving licence is preferred and at least two year’s occupational experience in a customer service / administrative environment. Applicants must have strong IT skills and be conversant in using social media. Additionally,
Remuneration
£28,000 to £30,000
