The Opportunity

Our client, a leading provider of facilities management services, is seeking an experienced AC Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled AC Engineer to work within a commercial environment, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across a range of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems within a commercial setting
• Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal system performance
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health & safety standards and industry regulations
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions
• Support and mentor junior team members where required
• Maintain accurate records of work completed using CAFM systems
• Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding technical issues
• Operate as a proactive AC Engineer, ensuring minimal downtime across all systems

Requirements

• F-Gas Certification (Category 1 preferred)
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar HVAC or AC Engineer role
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within commercial building environments
• Familiarity with CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo or similar)
• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• Good communication and organisational skills

Additional Information

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 20kg+)
• Comfortable working at height and using ladders where required
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
