Job title: Static Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: Critical Site In Welwyn Garden City 
Terms: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm or 7AM - 4PM
Salary/rate: Salary is paying between £55,000 Per annum

Requirements:
  • F-Gas Category 1 (Must Have)
  • City & Guilds level 2 in Electrical Engineering
  • Commercial building maintenance experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Experience in downflow units, CRAC units and split units
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Static Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management company at a prestigious critical site in Welwyn Garden City.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment within a critical commercial environment. This role requires a proactive engineer who can ensure maximum system reliability while maintaining high standards of health & safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Service, maintain, and repair:
  • Downflow units
  • CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) units
  • Split systems
  • Conduct leak detection, refrigerant recovery, evacuation, pressure testing, and system recharging in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
  • Replace and repair components including compressors, fan motors, contactors, expansion valves, sensors, thermostats, capacitors, and control boards.
  • Inspect, clean, and replace filters, belts, coils, condensers, evaporators, and drainage systems to maintain optimum performance.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Carry out temperature checks and performance testing on critical cooling systems.
  • Complete routine inspections and identify remedial works before equipment failures occur.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and minimise downtime within the critical environment.
  • Liaise with the client regarding maintenance schedules, repairs, and system performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with current health & safety legislation, F-Gas regulations, and company procedures.
  • Complete electronic job sheets, service reports, and asset documentation accurately.
