Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Stator Winder on a 6 month rolling contract based in Warwickshire.
Role Summary
We're recruiting experienced stator winders for a contract with a leading manufacturer of large electric motors and generators in Warwickshire. You'll be winding multi-MW HV machines used in energy, industrial and marine applications.
Responsibilities
- Fitting slot liners and inserting form-wound coils
- Wedging and packing
- End-winding bracing and blocking
- Brazing connections (induction and flame)
- Connecting and cabling
- Working to engineering drawings and quality procedures
Requirements
- Proven stator winding experience on MV/HV motors or generators
- Hands-on coil insertion, not just coil prep or taping
- Brazing experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and a safe way of working
- VPI or HV testing experience
- A background in a rewind shop or with an OEM
