Steel Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Steel Fabricator to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating steel sections and structures with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Duties

• Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel fabrications using various fabrication techniques
• Performing MIG welding and other welding processes to join metal parts securely
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and effectively
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
• Conducting quality inspections on finished products to meet specifications
• Assisting in the assembly of fabricated components into larger structures or systems where required in the factory
• Maintaining a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency

Skills

• Fully qualified in fabrication & welding
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes for structural steel
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of assembly procedures
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and drawing interpretation
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to welding and metal fabrication environments
• Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
