Steel Operative - Mair Packer

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mair Packer for our client, a precision tube manufacturers in Oldbury. This is an immediate start offered on a temporary to permanent basis

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspecting, bundling, labeling, and packaging finished tubing produced on the Mair line.
• Ensures all products meet quality and customer specifications and are safely prepared for storage or shipment
• Operating packing machinery including banding and wrapping equipment
• Using overhead cranes to move finished goods safely
• Carrying out quality checks on finished products
• Recording production and packaging data accurately
• Ensuring all products meet required standards before dispatch

You must have steel industry experience and overhead crane experience to be considered for this role

Job Details:

• Location: Oldbury
• Pay Rate:
• £13.45 per hour (Morning/Afternoon shifts)
• £14.45 per hour (Night shifts)
• Contract: Temp to Perm
• Rotating weekly shifts:
• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• 10:00pm - 6:00am
  ⚠️ Candidates must be able to work all three rotating shift patterns.
