Join Stafforce Ports as a Steel Operative
Stafforce Ports are recruiting experienced Steel Operatives, FLT Drivers, Forklift Truck Operators, Overhead Crane Operators, Tug Drivers and candidates with HGV licences to support a busy steel handling operation within the Humber region.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operatives with experience in steel handling, port operations, FLT driving, crane operations and heavy industrial environments. We are looking for reliable individuals who put safety first and enjoy working as part of a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Steel Operative, your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading steel products safely and efficiently
- Operating Forklift Trucks (FLT) and other plant equipment
- Operating overhead cranes where qualified
- Handling a variety of steel products including coils, plate and long products
- Supporting warehouse, transport and port operations
- Completing equipment inspections and safety checks
- Following all site health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to meet operational requirements
Skills and Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Steel Operative roles
- Forklift Truck (FLT) operation
- 15 Tonne FLT Licence
- Counterbalance Forklift operation
- Overhead Crane operation
- Tug Driving
- HGV driving
- Port Operative or Industrial Operative roles
- Steel handling and steel loading
