Steelfixer – BESC Person Trained

Location: Selby

Rate: CIS Pay – Negotiable + travel or digs (depending on location)
Start Date: 27th July (2 weeks work)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Steel Fixer with BESC Person certification to work on a live substation project.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installing and tying reinforcement steel to engineering drawings and specifications
• Fixing rebar, mesh, spacers and reinforcement cages
• Preparing and securing steel reinforcement prior to concrete pours
• Assisting with reinforced concrete foundations, plinths and substation structures
• Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and bar schedules
• Working safely within a live substation environment under BESC Person rules
• Complying with all site health & safety procedures, permit systems and safe systems of work

Requirements

• Valid CSCS blue card
• BESC Person certification (Essential)
• Previous experience working on National Grid or electrical substation projects
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
