Stock Condition Surveyor Portsmouth - PO1 £32–£35 per hour 6-Month Temporary Contract Strat Date: 14th September
Are you an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor with strong technical knowledge and experience surveying tenanted and void properties? Workshop Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to support a well-established organisation on a social housing contract. The role is Portsmouth-based, with travel across Southampton, Fareham, Chichester, Portsmouth and other areas of Hampshire. You will use your own vehicle for work-related travel, with 45p per mile paid. The Stock Condition Surveyor will inspect both tenanted and void properties, assessing core building elements and recording findings accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey roofs, kitchens, bathrooms and other core property elements.
- Inspect tenanted and void social housing properties.
- Identify and report structural damage or defects where observed.
- Record accurate property condition information.
- Produce clear and technically accurate reports.
- Assess the condition and remaining life of key building components.
- Travel across Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham, Chichester and Hampshire.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Very good customer service skills
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Stock Condition Surveyor.
- Strong technical knowledge of residential buildings and property condition.
- Experience surveying social housing or similar housing stock.
- Good understanding of building defects and structural reporting.
- HHSRS knowledge qualification.
- NNC, HND or NVQ Level 4 qualification preferred.
- Structural and energy reporting experience advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential.
- Two sources of employment references required.
