Stock Controller in Wednesbury

Stock Controller Location: Wednesbury
Salary: £30,000
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically 8:00am to 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent
Additional requirement: One Saturday per month for month-end stock counts

We’re working with an established and growing food manufacturing business in Wednesbury who are looking for a Stock Controller to join their site-based operations team.

This is a hands-on role combining stock control, warehouse operations and administration. You’ll play an important part in maintaining accurate stock levels across the business and ensuring day-to-day stock movements are recorded and managed correctly.

The role will include:
  • Completing weekly, monthly and ad hoc stock counts
  • Supporting month-end stock counts
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and processing adjustments
  • Managing goods-in activity and warehouse transfers
  • Monitoring short-date stock and supporting stock rotation
  • Reporting damaged goods and customer returns
  • Maintaining accurate stock documentation and reports
  • Working closely with warehouse, supply chain and operational teams
  • Using MRP and stock management systems
  • Supporting external warehouse stock audits where required
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience within stock control, warehousing or a similar environment
  • Experience using MRP or stock management systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Confidence working with data and stock documentation
  • A positive and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy operational team
