We’re looking for a Stores & Logistics Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, components, and finished goods across our operation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who not only thrives in a fast-paced environment but is also passionate about continuous improvement. As part of our ongoing drive to enhance our processes, you will take primary responsibility for shaping and developing our evolving stores function. You’ll be instrumental in identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing new ways of working, and driving efficiencies to support operational performance

The Company

NW Total Engineered Solutions Ltd. is a specialist manufacturing and engineering company focused on delivering high-quality process equipment packages. Our facility is equipped with a broad range of core capabilities, enabling us to manufacture and rigorously test a diverse array of equipment.

We have particular expertise in pipe welding and mechanical fitting, which are central to the projects we undertake. Additionally, we offer in-house Level 2 weld inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across all our work.

37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs & Friday 8am-12pm

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the stores and warehouse function, including receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of materials and goods.
  • Manage and maintain accurate stock records using the company’s ERP/MRP system, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the stores team, setting clear objectives and driving performance.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective logistics.
  • Conduct regular stock takes, cycle counts, and audits to maintain inventory accuracy and minimise stock losses.
  • Ensure all goods-in processes are completed correctly, including inspection, labelling, and documentation in line with quality procedures.
  • Monitor and control stock levels for consumables and raw materials, raising purchase requisitions to replenish in line with demand.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations including COSHH, manual handling, and fire safety.
  • Liaise with Production, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Manage the movement of goods to and from site, including subcontract operations and customer returns.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels.
  • Produce and present regular stock and logistics reports for management, including KPIs on stock accuracy, delivery performance, and warehouse productivity.
  • Ensure all packaging, labelling, and shipping documentation meets customer and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a stores, warehousing, or logistics supervisory role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of stock management and inventory control, including use of ERP systems such as SAP, SAGE, Epicor, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing goods-in, goods-out, and internal material movements.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and supervising a team.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements in a warehouse environment, including manual handling, COSHH, and safe use of materials handling equipment.
  • Valid forklift truck licence (counterbalance and/or reach truck).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Warehousing & Storage, Supply Chain, or Logistics is desirable.
  • Experience coordinating import/export shipments and working with freight forwarders is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles, 5S methodology, and ISO 9001 quality management standards is a plus.
