Salary:  £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday–Friday

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

We are working with a well-established engineering business in Tewkesbury who are looking to bring in a Stores Operative to support their Supply Chain team.

The Stores Operative is a key role within the business, helping to ensure materials are received, stored, and issued correctly so production can run smoothly.

Stores Operative Duties Will Include:

You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the stores function, making sure materials and components are handled accurately and efficiently.

• Receiving and unloading deliveries safely
• Checking goods against purchase orders and delivery notes
• Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies
• Booking stock into internal systems accurately
• Storing materials in the correct locations
• Issuing stock to production and internal teams
• Keeping stock records up to date
• Supporting stock checks and stock takes
• Working closely with purchasing and production teams
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores environment

Skills and Experience needed:

• Previous experience in a stores operative, warehouse, or stock control role
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of stock control processes
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Good numeracy and organisational skills
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment - Desirable (but not essential
• Experience using stock or ERP systems
• FLT licence (or willingness to be trained)
