Stores Operative
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stores Operative to join a busy and friendly team based in Banbury. This role is ideal for an organised individual with previous stores, warehouse, or stock control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the business by accurately issuing components to production, managing stock, inspecting incoming goods, and preparing products for dispatch. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Issue components to support production schedules.
- Inspect, check, and record incoming deliveries before storing stock.
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support ongoing inventory control.
- Assist with stock takes and cycle counts as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support operational requirements.
- Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.
- Ensure the stores area is maintained in a safe, tidy, and efficient manner.
- Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, stock control, or logistics role.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience using an ERP or stock management system would be advantageous.
- A forklift truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage changing priorities.
