Stores Operative

We are currently hiring a Stores Operative to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for the effective supply of stock from the stores to the relevant department’s whist maintaining effective stock control.    

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm 

Rate: £12.71  

Type: Temp to perm 

Location: Stourport on Severn, DY13 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Pick and distribute stock as required to meet business needs.  

• To maintain stock control, including correct storage and locations, updating all records as required.  

• Undertake regular stock counts.  

• Ensure all procedures are followed in the completion of required tasks. 

• Ensure any discrepancies are reported to the correct department. 

• Always ensure a safe working environment and culture.  

• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.  

• Ensuring that housekeeping of work area is maintained.  

• Any other ad hoc duties as required  

Requirements: 

• Reliability and good communication skills. 

• Valid counterbalance forklift license.  

• Basic computer skills.  

• Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
