Stores Person - Back Shift

Location: Lesmahagow
Pay: £13.64 per hour, with the opportunity to work regular overtime at enhanced rates
Hours: Monday to Friday - 14:00 - 22:00

Are you hardworking, reliable, and comfortable operating mechanical handling equipment in a distribution environment? We're hiring a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Lesmahagow.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and preparation of goods within the site. Key responsibilities include:

• Operating mechanical handling equipment, including forklift trucks
• Ensuring the safe and efficient use of all equipment
• Dealing with goods in, including unloading deliveries
• Storing goods accurately within designated locations across yard areas
• Processing goods and loading items in preparation for despatch to customers
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels by following standardised procedures
• Contributing to Health & Safety standards within the workplace
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the stores and yard areas

What We're Looking For

• Previous stores, warehouse, or materials handling experience is beneficial
• Experience operating mechanical handling equipment, including forklift trucks
• Good understanding of safe working practices
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Able to follow standardised processes and procedures
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
