Join a leading design and manufacturer of full turnkey projects for food processing & packaging machinery. Due to further growth within the business, they are looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to lead the daily stores operation.

Role & Responsibilities of the Stores Supervisor:

  • Ensure efficient receipt, storage, control of goods in to support manufacturing
  • Distribution of materials, engineering components, consumables & tooling
  • Support despatch with packing and distribution of goods to customers
  • Supervisor & coordinate a small team of stores assistants
  • Stock counts, audits, investigation of errors, checking purchase orders against goods
  • Use of ERP/MRP systems to check stock movements
  • Make sure production kits and materials are prepared and issued timely to manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be the Stores Supervisor:

  • Experience within an engineering or manufacturing industry
  • Previously have worked stores, warehouse, logistics, inventory control type environment
  • Ideally have supervisor / team leader experience
  • Used ERP/MRP systems before, with good IT skills
  • Good understanding of stock control processes and material traceability
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
