The Role
As a Storesperson/Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of a busy stores and warehouse function. Your hands-on approach will ensure that materials are managed accurately and delivered efficiently to support production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive & Inspect Deliveries: Check incoming goods against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Book goods into internal systems and maintain precise stock records.
  • Organised Storage: Safely store materials with clear labelling and systematic organisation.
  • Production Support: Pick and prepare kits for production according to build schedules.
  • Stock Checks: Conduct regular inventory checks to aid in effective stock control.
  • Despatch Preparation: Pack and prepare goods for despatch, ensuring they are ready for delivery.
  • Safe Loading & Unloading: Use appropriate equipment to load and unload deliveries.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Support production and engineering teams with material needs.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic IT skills (stock systems/Microsoft Office).
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • Knowledge of goods in/goods out processes.
  • Familiarity with handling electrical or mechanical components.
