Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour PAYE
Hours: Saturday to Wednesday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
About the Role
We are looking for a Street Cleansing Operative to help keep local streets, parks and public areas clean and well maintained.
This is a physical outdoor role working in all weather conditions. Duties will include litter picking, emptying bins, sweeping public areas and helping to maintain a clean environment for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Litter picking in public areas
- Emptying litter and dog waste bins
- Sweeping streets, paths and public spaces
- Reporting fly tipping, vandalism and health and safety issues
- Helping to keep parks, beaches and public facilities clean
- Using basic equipment safely and correctly
- Working as part of a team to maintain cleanliness standards
Requirements
- Reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good timekeeping and attendance
- Able to carry out physical work
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential
- Previous grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste or environmental services experience would be beneficial
