Structural BIM Technician

BIM Technician - Structural / Building BIM

We're currently looking for an experienced BIM Technician to join a project team supporting the delivery and coordination of detailed design and construction information.

The role will involve developing and managing 2D and 3D BIM models, producing high-quality construction drawings, and ensuring models and documentation are accurate, coordinated and compliant with project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain 2D & 3D BIM models and technical drawings
• Use Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings Designer
• Support BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design teams
• Carry out model reviews, audits and clash detection
• Work in line with BIM standards, BEPs and project information requirements
• Support the management of information within a Common Data Environment (CDE)
• Assist with resolving technical and coordination issues
• Ensure project deliverables meet required quality, accuracy and programme standards

About you:

• HNC/HND in Engineering, Design or a related discipline
• Strong experience with 3D modelling and BIM
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenBuildings Designer
• Understanding of BIM coordination, clash detection and model standards
• Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
