Description

We are seeking an Entry Level Engineering Research & Development Consultant to join our client’s team. Our client works with leading businesses across the Civil and Structural Engineering sectors, supporting innovative projects at the forefront of engineering and construction.

They are looking for candidates with a genuine interest in engineering, technology and innovation. Ideal candidates will have an Engineering degree (MSc/MEng/PhD) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

The opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop their skills through industry-leading training and gain exposure to a broad range of innovative engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking the technical assessment of engineering projects and preparing clear, compelling technical summaries.
  • Identifying and assessing innovative engineering and construction projects through technical discussions with clients.
  • Developing an understanding of new and emerging engineering technologies, methodologies and processes.
  • Supporting projects across a range of Civil and Structural Engineering disciplines.
  • Continuously developing technical knowledge and keeping up to date with developments across engineering, construction, technology and innovation.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A recognised university degree (MSc/MEng and/or PhD) in an Engineering discipline, specifically relating to Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • An interest in engineering innovation, construction, infrastructure and emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Work experience in your chosen engineering industry or a technical role, with good sector knowledge in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in engineering, technology and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
