Structural Engineer/senior

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Building Structures team. This is a permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to complex and rewarding projects across the built environment sector.

• Performing structural analysis and design of buildings using various construction materials.
• Delivering engineering solutions from early-stage concepts to detailed design.
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Supporting project delivery to programme and budget requirements.
• Participating in client meetings and technical workshops.
• Conducting site inspections and attending project review meetings.
• Producing technical calculations, reports, and design documentation.
• Contributing to BIM-led design and digital engineering processes.
• Supporting junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge across the team.

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership of ICE, IStructE, or another relevant professional institution.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience in designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and current design standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

• Experience with structural analysis software.
• Exposure to BIM and Revit-based project delivery.
• Commercial awareness and project delivery experience.
• Interest in sustainable and innovative structural design solutions.
