The successful candidate will join the Structural Engineering team, working on a variety of exciting projects across the commercial, retail, domestic, industrial, education and leisure sectors. You will have the opportunity to develop structural designs from concept through to construction, working with a range of materials including timber, steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry. The role will also involve providing technical support to clients and contractors, giving you exposure to different stages of the design process and the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and project experience.

You will ideally have experience working across a range of structural materials and be comfortable contributing to projects from initial design through to construction. What You Need To Succeed

• Four to five years’ UK experience as a Structural Engineer within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Experience undertaking structural design calculations and producing engineering solutions across a range of materials.
• Knowledge of timber, steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry design.
• Experience using structural engineering software, ideally including Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer.
• Good communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team while supporting clients and contractors.
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Working towards chartership with the IStructE or ICE.
