Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering business that is looking for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join their workshop team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator with a strong background in structural steel fabrication, who is confident working from technical drawings and takes pride in producing high-quality steelwork.

The Role

As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricating structural steel components from engineering drawings
• Measuring and marking out steel sections
• Cutting, drilling and preparing steelwork for fabrication
• Assembling structural steel components
• Tack welding and fitting components where required
• Operating fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely
• Working accurately to technical drawings and specifications
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
• Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and organised
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in structural steel fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
• Experience measuring, marking out, cutting and assembling steel sections
• Confident using workshop fabrication equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Quality-focused approach to your work
• Reliable and proactive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
