The Opportunity We are partnering with an established Further Education college to recruit a passionate Student Achievement Tutor to join their pastoral team. This term-time role offers an exciting opportunity to directly shape young people's educational journeys, supporting student achievement, progression, and personal development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver weekly group tutorials covering pastoral themes, safeguarding, social action, study skills, and career preparation.
- Manage an average caseload of 15 tutorial groups (approximately 300 students).
- Conduct individual 1-to-1 mentoring sessions to set SMART targets and track progress throughout the academic year.
- Lead attendance and behaviour interventions in collaboration with curriculum teams, parents/carers, and external agencies.
- Monitor vulnerable student cohorts, signposting individuals to internal wellbeing or safeguarding teams when necessary.
- Guide students through UCAS applications, personal statements, work experience tracking, and Gatsby benchmark initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications & Knowledge: Minimum Level 2 in literacy and numeracy (essential). A relevant degree (e.g., Youth Work) or prior experience within Further Education is highly desirable.
- Characteristics & Skills: Proven experience delivering group sessions and 1-to-1 support to young people. Strong communication skills, empathy, discretion, and a calm approach under pressure.
- Transport & Flexibility: A manageable commute to the site, along with a flexible approach to working hours during key college calendar events such as Open Days and enrolment.
