Sub Agent

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent with structures experience to join a major section of the HS2 project in the Aylesbury area.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, working on a range of complex structural packages in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

• Managing the safe and efficient delivery of structural works packages
• Leading site teams including Section Engineers, Site Engineers and subcontractors
• Planning works and ensuring delivery to programme and budget requirements
• Reviewing and approving RAMS, ITPs, permits and quality documentation
• Coordinating with design, commercial and construction teams
• Monitoring progress and resolving technical or construction challenges
• Driving high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance
• Managing subcontractors and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships
• Supporting reporting, forecasting and programme updates

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or Section Engineer on major civil engineering projects
• Strong background delivering structures packages including bridges, reinforced concrete, viaducts, retaining walls or associated structural works
• Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or major infrastructure project
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, temporary works and construction methodology
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• SMSTS and CSCS required
