We are currently looking for an experienced Sub-Agent to join a well-established civils team working on an ongoing infrastructure maintenance contract.
The role is initially expected to run for 2–3 months, with the potential for further opportunities depending on project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sub-Agent looking for an immediate freelance assignment.
The RoleYou will be involved in the delivery and supervision of a range of small-scale concrete and civil engineering works.
Responsibilities will include:

Supervising and coordinating day-to-day civils and concrete works.

Managing subcontractors and site activities to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.

Reading and working from drawings, specifications and project information.

Coordinating with engineers, site teams and project management.

Monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered to the required standard.

Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.

Assisting with planning, sequencing and coordination of works.

Identifying and resolving issues on site.

Ensuring works are completed in line with programme requirements.
The standard working hours are 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday. The ability and willingness to undertake the occasional night shift would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
RequirementsThe client is primarily looking for someone with:

A valid CSCS card.

A civil engineering qualification, ideally HNC level or equivalent.

Previous experience working as a Sub-Agent or in a similar civils role.

Practical experience working on civil engineering/construction projects.

Good communication and coordination skills.

The confidence to take responsibility for works and site activities.
SMSTS, First Aid and additional training are not essential, as these can be arranged if required.
