Subcontracts Manufacturing Manager

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security manufacturing sector, is seeking a Subcontracts Manufacturing Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the seamless delivery of customer product orders through effective planning and supply chain management.

• Ensure all customer product orders are delivered on-time and in-full (OTIF)
• Plan product build demands in collaboration with production planners and project managers
• Raise external requirements to build on subcontractors and suppliers, liaising with them to achieve OTIF delivery
• Liaise with sales and programme management to ensure production plans are understood and communicated to the rest of the business
• Work closely with the supply chain to ensure supplier delivery plans are in place
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage their expectations

• Experience in supply chain customer service and control
• Strong planning skills within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and liaison abilities across different departments
• Proficiency in subcontractor and supplier management
• Understanding of the defence and security manufacturing sector
• Ability to manage negotiations and effectively achieve desired outcomes
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently as required
