Job Role
The role is to oversee / plan the traffic management for technology works on the National Highways contract. Take ownership of traffic management requirements and guide the team of TM Road Space Coordinators. To meet all safety, environmental and quality obligations and the needs of client and stakeholders both internally and externally.

Duties

• To work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations and for all personnel under your authority and others who may be affected by the company’s activities such as the general public.
• Front line responsibility for service delivery of reactive and cyclic maintenance works.
• Take responsibility for arrangement and planning of traffic management requirements for delivery of the technology works.
• Oversee the operational teams/subcontractors in line with productivity and quality targets
• Monitor the skills and experience of subcontractors and liaise with other depots across the contract as required.
• To actively foster a positive team spirit
• Actively promote and use the bespoke software available to deliver the service requirements.
• Take responsibility for depot facilities and regular depot checks / audits.

Person Specification

• The role will require travel to and from sites on the NH East contract.
• Reviewing, submission and coordination of road space applications
• Managing and reviewing RAMS
• Undertaking site visits and checking compliance
• Able to use basic computer programmes i.e. Word, Excel etc
Essential qualifications:
• 12 A/B
• 12 C
• 12D T7 For Managers and Client Officers or Ideally High-Speed traffic management knowledge
