The role

WasteRecruit is working with a leading compliance company to recruit a Supplier Engagement Advisor to support the collection and quality of supplier data used to calculate clients' environmental compliance obligations. You will work closely with suppliers, Data Administrators, Account Managers and Data Team Managers, helping external contacts understand what information is required and guiding them through the submission process.

This is a varied role combining customer service, structured follow-up and data checking. You will communicate by email, telephone and live chat, present webinars, review submitted evidence and maintain accurate supplier records using internal systems, Excel and CRM tools.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contact suppliers to obtain packaging, WEEE and batteries data and encourage timely submissions.
  • Provide clear, professional support by email, telephone and live chat.
  • Deliver webinars explaining data submission processes and platform requirements.
  • Process packaging evidence and maintain accurate supplier records using in-house software, Excel and CRM applications.
  • Check and improve data quality, including analysis of Plastic Tax evidence against HMRC criteria.
  • Support Account Managers with data used in environmental compliance calculations.
  • Identify process improvements and flag potential Data Hub anomalies to the development team.
  • Work in line with Valpak policies, ISO accreditation requirements and risk management procedures.

 

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, confident manner.
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with data in Microsoft Excel and learning new systems.
  • Able to work independently, manage task-driven follow-up and contribute effectively within a team.
  • Office experience using email and telephone is desirable.
  • An interest in environmental issues is desirable; full training is provided on the relevant regulations.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.
  • Minimum Grade C / equivalent in Mathematics and English at GCSE/O Level; A level or equivalent is desirable.

 

Package

  1. £25,500 salary plus annual bonus of up to 10%.
  2. Hybrid working and flexible working options.
