Job Title: Product Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Near Walton-on-Thames
Salary: C. £30,000
Contract Type: Permanent
Seeking a detail-oriented and resilient Product Quality Assurance Analyst to join my engineering supply chain client in the Walton-On-Thames, Surrey area.
This is a dynamic and hands-on role, combining technical quality assurance responsibilities with supplier relationship management.
You will play a key role in managing non-compliances of small engineering products, driving supplier performance, and ensuring that quality standards are consistently met.
While approximately 25% of your time will involve inspection activities, the majority of the role focuses on engaging with suppliers, resolving quality issues, and maintaining strong, professional relationships in sometimes challenging situations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve Supplier Quality Notifications
- Prepare and coordinate documentation for concessions and derogation requests
- Collaborate with Quality Control teams to ensure timely closure of quality issues
- Oversee segregation processes for non-compliant products (physical and system-based)
- Support supplier audits
- Conduct incoming inspections in accordance with SAP and update system accordingly
- Accurately use measurement tools and interpret results
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with procedures
- Act as a key point of contact for supplier quality concerns, resolving complex or confrontational situations professionally
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement across the supply chain
- Participate in occasional supplier visits within the UK
Ideal candidate profile:
- Proven experience in a quality assurance or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
- Experience using SAP QM systems beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Confident handling challenging conversations and driving outcomes
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Degree in Management, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (desirable)
