Supply Chain Administrator

Forge Partnerships

Forge Partnerships is pleased to be partnering with Blended Products to recruit a Supply Chain Administrator to join their growing team near Brigg.

Blended Products is a specialist UK supplier of gases, chemicals and technical solutions, working with customers across a range of industrial sectors. The business has built its reputation around being agile, responsive and customer-focused, offering the kind of personal service that can often be difficult to achieve within larger organisations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within supply chain, customer service and operations. You’ll join a friendly, ambitious business where you’ll have exposure across the full order process and the opportunity to develop as the company continues to grow.

The Role

As Supply Chain Administrator, you’ll play an important role in ensuring customer orders move smoothly from initial enquiry through to delivery.

It’s a varied position where you’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, hauliers and colleagues across the business, helping coordinate orders, resolve issues and make sure customers receive a high level of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing customer and supplier orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitoring orders through to fulfilment and ensuring deliveries remain on schedule.
  • Liaising with customers regularly regarding orders, products and service.
  • Communicating with suppliers and hauliers to confirm delivery status and resolve issues.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Handling customer queries or complaints and helping find appropriate solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and other supply-chain documentation.
  • Entering and maintaining information within SAGE, ERP and other business systems.
  • Supporting sales enquiries and directing calls where appropriate.
  • Working within the company's ISO 9001 quality procedures.

The responsibilities closely reflect the breadth of the original role, particularly its emphasis on customer interaction, order fulfilment, logistics coordination and maintaining accurate supply-chain records.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t necessarily need to have followed one particular career path to be successful in this role. More important is that you are organised, personable and comfortable taking responsibility for getting things done.

We’re particularly interested in speaking with people who can demonstrate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of customer service.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage several priorities and work to deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Confidence working independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using SAGE, ERP or similar business systems would be advantageous.
  • Previous supply chain, logistics, order processing or customer service experience would be desirable.
  • Ambition and a genuine desire to develop within a growing business.

A full UK driving licence would also be beneficial, as site visits may become part of the role as you progress within the company.

Why Join Blended Products?

This is more than a purely administrative position.

You’ll gain exposure to customers, suppliers, logistics and the wider commercial operation of the business, giving you an excellent grounding from which to develop your career.

Blended Products offers a friendly, close-knit working environment, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress as your knowledge of the business grows.

For someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and being part of a fast-moving operation, this represents a particularly good opportunity to join an ambitious SME where your contribution will be visible.
