Due to business growth, our client a UK based company with offices in the US and that primarily focus on supplying specialized materials used to manufacture high-integrity, aerospace quality parts, are looking to add a talented Supply Chain Co-ordinator to their team, based at offices near Basildon, Essex.

On Offer:

  • Salary £35K - £50K, depending on experience.

  • This is a full-time office based role. Standard working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a half an hour lunch break. 
  • 20 days' annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. An additional 4 paid Jewish holiday days where these fall on a weekday.
  • NEST pension scheme with a 3% employer contribution. Employees contribute a minimum of 5%, with the option to increase their contribution.

Main Purpose of the Supply Chain Co-ordinator:

Reporting to the Department Manager and working in a team of 4, the Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned product categories, ensuring continuity of supply, maintaining accurate inventory, and coordinating the end-to-end order process. The role works closely with customers, suppliers, freight providers and internal teams to deliver excellent service and efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Co-ordinator:

  • Manage inventory, purchasing and supplier relationships for assigned product categories.
  • Monitor stock levels, consumption and customer demand to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Coordinate customer orders from purchase order through to delivery.
  • Prepare and process shipping, export and inventory documentation.
  • Produce delivery note documentation
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, warehouses and freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Produce inventory, consumption and operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate ERP records and support stock reconciliations.
  • Monitor shipments, resolve supply chain issues and support continuous process improvements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in sea freight and road haulage, plus warehousing
  • Experience in supply chain, purchasing or inventory management is preferred.
  • Experience with Finance responsibilities is preferred
  • Experience with HMRC's Customs Declaration Service (CDS) would be a plus
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great team player with  a ‘can do’ attitude
