Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a global leader in aerospace fuel systems, is currently seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team in Titchfield. This role is pivotal as the company relocates to a new state-of-the-art facility in Daedalus, Hampshire, which will serve as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Define production/sub-contract process flow and routings
  • Support supply chain with technical queries and the need for permits/concessions/design updates
  • Partner with Goods Receiving and Stores via MRB meetings
  • Evaluate and execute stock salvage
  • Generate rework process routings driven by delivery requirements
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient production for aerospace components and assemblies
  • Support the MRB process by reviewing, investigating, and salvaging non-conforming supplied products
  • Coordinate with supply chain and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and process capability
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, internal specs)


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in aerospace or a similarly regulated mechanical manufacturing environment


Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience and involvement with Sub-Contractors
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as assembly & integration, fuel systems, and special processes (e.g., heat treatment, surface finishing)
  • Working knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP)
  • Experience in APQP related activities, Risk Assessments, FMEAs, SPC, Continuous Improvement etc.
  • Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast-paced environments
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for process excellence
