Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Supply Chain Officer on behalf of one of our clients.
To support key activities contributing to operational Supply Chain Management (SCM) across inventory management, supplier management, demand management and performance management activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review established processes and provide recommendations to implement changes and create new processes, as identified, across the Supply Chain Team.
- Analyse data (in excel) to understand consumption rates, supply chain upstream support risks (including obsolescence risks), working with PMs and other stakeholders to understand impact.
- Work with ILS to ensure SCM transition to in service activity is delivered ahead of in service date. This is to include system set up, certificates of conformity, GFE loans registers - created and verified in conjunction with GFE manager and codification activity.
- Work with CLS vendors to ensure alignment and delivery to contractual deliverables and KPIs.
- Work collaboratively with CLS vendors to mitigate and manage upstream supply chain risks. Manage repair activity and ensure CoC and GFE records updated.
- Maintenance of supply chain data – ensuring accuracy of all supply chain information across systems including utilisation of HIMA dashboard.
- Create reporting with SCM team for senior management on a quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Finance, ILS, PMs, Front Line Commands and vendors, to ensure policy compliance across supply chain.
- Operate effectively across the key operational SCM areas of inventory management, supplier management, demand management and performance management.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on stock availability, material requirements and procurement issues for the ranges of equipment they have responsibility for.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of working in a delivery environment, delivering SCM disciplines within a large, complex organisation.
- Experience working in defence supply chain.
- Experience delivering supply chain within project management.
- Operates with reasonable guidance, clear processes and instruction.
- Motivated individual that shows initiative and sound judgement.
Desirable:
Level 3 SCM pathway achieved.
Experience of working in a GFE project team.
