Are you an analytical Supply Chain professional looking to develop your career within a major engineering and manufacturing environment? We are seeking five motivated Supply Chain Planners to join a leading global manufacturer at their site in Peterborough.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on training with advanced inventory systems while supporting a dynamic, fast-paced team.
The Order of Play: Onsite & Hybrid Working
To ensure you are fully set up for success, this role begins with a comprehensive training period:
- Initial Training (Approx. 3 Weeks): 5 days per week onsite.
- Post-Training: Transition to a hybrid model (3 days per week onsite, 2 days remote).
Key Responsibilities
Under general supervision, you will plan and maintain daily Supply Chain operations across key functional areas (materials, production, inventory, logistics, and order fulfillment). Your core focus will be to:
- Support the creation of the master production schedule and material plans to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with external suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of materials.
- Troubleshoot supply chain bottlenecks and ensure internal/external customer expectations are consistently met.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need a solid foundation in supply chain principles alongside strong numerical and communication skills.
Required Criteria:
- Experience: At least one internship or equivalent professional work experience in a Supply Chain role.
- Systems: Direct experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
- Supplier Management: Proven experience managing supplier relationships.
- Technical Skills: Good Excel skills and strong overall numerical capability.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Experience using SAP (a distinct advantage, but training will be provided).
- Experience within a manufacturing supply chain environment (automotive experience is not required).
