White Label Recruitment are working with a well-established distribution business that is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Planner to strengthen its growing supply chain team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where supply chain plays a key role in customer service, stock performance and commercial success. Reporting into the senior supply chain team, you'll take ownership of forecasting, inventory planning and supplier management across a dedicated product range, helping ensure products are available at the right time while balancing stock, cost and service levels.

This role would suit a Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner, Inventory Planner, Demand Planner or Buyer looking to develop within a collaborative, commercially focused environment.

The Role

  • Develop supply plans using forecasts, demand trends and sales data.
  • Manage replenishment and purchase order activity.
  • Monitor stock levels and improve inventory performance.
  • Balance availability, supplier lead times and stock investment.
  • Build relationships with UK, European and Far East suppliers.
  • Expedite orders to minimise shortages and delays.
  • Monitor supplier performance, OTIF and lead times.
  • Support inbound freight planning and shipment consolidation.
  • Analyse inventory data and identify planning improvements.
  • Work closely with sales, procurement, operations and finance.
  • Produce reports on stock, supply risks and performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Person

  • Previous experience within Supply Chain Planning, Materials Planning or Inventory Planning.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, replenishment and stock control.
  • Experience managing supplier purchase orders and lead times.
  • Analytical with excellent Excel skills.
  • Comfortable using ERP, MRP or inventory planning systems.
  • Commercially aware with strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with international suppliers would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen or continuous improvement is beneficial.
