We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable and committed Supply Teacher to join our team, providing high-quality teaching across our vibrant primary school in Handsworth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable teacher who enjoys working in a variety of year groups and can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging lessons that inspire children to achieve their full potential while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as required.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons where appropriate, or confidently deliver pre-prepared lessons.
  • Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge across the primary age range.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes excellent learning behaviours.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and those requiring additional challenge.
  • Assess pupils' learning and provide clear feedback where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders to ensure continuity of learning.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Delivers creative, engaging and well-paced lessons that motivate pupils.
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Is flexible, adaptable and able to work confidently across different year groups.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to providing high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
