Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting Supply Teachers to support a number of secondary schools across Northampton and the surrounding areas. We have opportunities available for teachers looking for anything from occasional day-to-day cover through to regular long-term placements.

As a Supply Teacher, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Delivering lessons using work and resources provided by the class teacher
• Supervising pupils and ensuring they remain engaged with their learning
• Maintaining a calm, safe, and productive classroom environment
• Managing behaviour consistently in accordance with school expectations
• Following lesson plans and adapting where necessary to suit the class
• Quickly familiarising yourself with different school routines and procedures
• Supporting pupils throughout the school day and maintaining high expectations
• Leaving clear and concise feedback for the regular teacher where required

We'd love to hear from teachers who:

• Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have previous classroom teaching experience
• Are confident managing behaviour and maintaining classroom expectations
• Can quickly adapt to new schools, pupils, and teaching environments
• Are reliable, punctual, professional, and approachable
• Have excellent communication skills
• Are comfortable teaching across a range of subjects or prefer to work within their own specialism
• Are looking for flexibility without compromising on the quality of their teaching
